The Barça member Jordi Cases, who began the uncovering of Neymar Jr’s transfer, has withdrawn the action against ex-president Sandro Rosell according to an article just published in La Vanguardia. Cases believes the objectives have been achieved with the revealing of the details on Friday by incoming president Josep-Maria Bartomeu, and given the change in style shown by Bartomeu he has decided to drop the case.
Next week Cases’s lawyer Felipe Izquierdo will formally present a letter to the judge asking to close the case. It will be then up to the judge to decide whether or not to continue with the case. Cases’s decision should help to stabilise Bartomeu’s presidency though tonight’s match against Malaga will be the first real test of public opinion into the events of the week.
